About The Position

The Gas Turbine Specialist is generally responsible for supervision and technical direction of a Commissioning & Startup project onsite. This work will be performed under the Startup & Commissioning Leader supervision in Bowling Green, OH. Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Demonstrate advanced technical expertise in gas turbine systems supporting commissioning, startup, and operations for power and energy infrastructure (e.g., BESS, substations, generation assets). Apply specialized knowledge to support safe, efficient commissioning and system turnover, including coordination of FAT/SAT activities, systemization, and punch-list closure. Execute commissioning plans, procedures, and test protocols. Review technical test reports and complete commissioning records and technical reports. Prepare and deliver technical briefings, commissioning readiness reviews, and post-event summaries to project leadership and cross-functional teams. Ensure safe and reliable operations by identifying root causes of equipment issues and implementing corrective actions. Embrace new technologies and drive operational efficiency. Perform additional duties as needed to support commissioning efforts.

Requirements

  • Industry experience maintaining or troubleshooting gas turbine engines
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with safety as the top priority
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PC applications
  • Valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record
  • Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and travel between locations
  • Ability to work in extreme conditions and elevated areas with PPE
  • Commitment to safety and operational excellence
  • Experience working with Siemens SGT-800 and A-35 gas turbines
  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to work in the field in a rotational schedule.
