About The Position

This role involves distributing and accurately recording gasoline disbursed in vehicles. The Gas Truck Driver will enter fuel usage data, start vehicles, check fuel gauges, mark vehicles needing fuel, and refuel them. They will also report Auction gasoline levels, alert appropriate personnel to avoid shortages, and report inoperable vehicles or malfunctioning equipment. Additional duties include tire plugging/repairing, assisting customers, aiding in sale day duties, and assisting in gasoline disbursement audits. A strong commitment to safety is essential, requiring active participation in all safety activities and adherence to all safety and health procedures. This position is exposed to the elements outdoors.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field.
  • Safe drivers needed; valid driver's license required.

Nice To Haves

  • Any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline; OR 5 years’ experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Distribute and accurately record gasoline disbursed in vehicles.
  • Enter fuel usage in AS400 via portable terminal (PT).
  • Start vehicles, check fuel gages, mark vehicles that need fuel, and return to fuel them.
  • Report and record Auction gasoline levels and alert proper person to avoid running out of gasoline in main fill area.
  • Report inoperable vehicles to Supervisor or Assistant Manager.
  • Report damage or malfunctioning equipment on vehicles (i.e., pumps, fuel trucks).
  • Tire plugging/repairing
  • Assist customers in locating vehicles.
  • Assist in sale day duties as needed (i.e. drive, act as lane leader, jump start vehicles, etc.).
  • Assist in audits of gasoline disbursement when necessary.
  • Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such.
  • Actively participate in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
