Requirements

18 years of age or older
Mechanically inclined with strong troubleshooting ability
Comfortable working outdoors in varying environmental conditions
Ability to read gauges, meters, and technical monitoring equipment
Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
Ability to work independently and follow technical procedures
Willingness to be on-call for emergency response
Valid and unrestricted Driver’s License (Required)

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain the GCCS to ensure regulatory compliance and system optimization
Calibrate, operate, and maintain sensitive electronic data collection devices used to monitor landfill gas extraction
Perform data collection and data entry from wellfield extraction and environmental monitoring points
Execute the GCCS preventative maintenance plan
Operate and maintain liquid management systems using pneumatic or electric pumps
Troubleshoot liquid levels in containment structures and gas collection wells
Conduct wellfield valve and vacuum adjustments and interpret system data
Perform maintenance using PVC and HDPE piping and associated materials
Complete required Landfill Gas Technician training program
Follow all job-related health, safety, and environmental procedures
Respond to on-call GCCS malfunction events as needed
