About The Position

As a Gas Technician, you’ll join a team responsible for designing and constructing large-scale test rigs that support critical research for the global energy transition, as well as the wider energy, security, and defence sectors. You’ll also play a key role in the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of essential site infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design and construct large-scale experimental test rigs, as well as gas storage and piping systems.
• Designing and implementing gas distribution systems.
• Performing regular maintenance and inspections.
• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
• Emergency response planning and procedures.
• Attend safety meetings such as HAZIDs and stay up to date with current test procedures.
• Communicate effectively with technical colleagues
