The essential function of the position you would perform entry-level tasks that support natural gas distribution and service. You would be responsible for assisting in locating and painting meters; basic leak investigation; maintenance tasks; and general labor. We are looking for customer-service oriented candidates with experience working with mechanical and electrical systems.

Requirements

Requires high school diploma, GED and training equivalent to the satisfactory completion of specialized training or relevant experience.
Must have a valid state driver’s license and meet minimum driving standards.
Working knowledge of HVAC and plumbing codes, as applied to service and installation of appliances.
Working knowledge of electronics and its application to control circuits and systems.
Working knowledge of HVAC equipment, the installation and service of appliances, venting systems, gas burning equipment and metering and regulating systems.

Responsibilities

Assist in installation, maintenance and repairs for natural gas services
Work outside in all weather, both above ground and below ground
Assist in locating natural gas lines
Perform simple sniff tests to determine leaks
Maintain records associated with service and repair functions as well as electronic devices
Read and interpret meters and gauges to ensure proper function; assist repair or replace as needed; assist in turning gas service on and off
Perform landscape maintenance and traffic control tasks
Attend safety classes, reinforce and comply with company safety policies
Work harmoniously with Inframark employees and the public and comply with company policies
