About The Position

Responsible for the daily operation of the gas station. The role includes performing opening and closing procedures, monitoring and maintaining gas station equipment, assisting members with transactions and payments, and complying with safety, environmental, and security standards. Team members may also work in other departments as needed.

The position requires regular, predictable, full attendance. Team members are expected to support club policies and procedures, provide excellent member service, maintain a safe and positive environment, work collaboratively, and uphold BJ’s GOLD member and club standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional member service and promptly assist members.
• Promote the safety of people, property, and the environment while assisting with gas station transactions.
• Monitor gas station sales transactions and handle cash transactions when applicable.
• Maintain restroom cleanliness and perform custodial duties as needed.
• Monitor gas station reporting, ensure reports are generated, complete checklist procedures, and document and address identified issues.
• Accurately perform all opening and closing procedures.
• Regularly monitor and maintain gas station equipment.
• Oversee fuel deliveries and complete required preparation procedures.
• Follow gas station safety, environmental, and security standards; understand safety and security features and inform management and the help desk when alarms are present.
• Perform cash drawer procedures, including cash deposits, verification, documentation, and control procedures.
• Conduct daily competitive price surveys and ensure posted gas prices and club signage match pricing in the point-of-sale system.
• Follow spill bucket and spilled material procedures, including immediate response and cleanup.
• Log all visitors and obtain proper identification before allowing anyone inside the kiosk area.
• Notify the corporate office about non-routine maintenance vendor visits, including visits from weights and measures personnel, inspectors, and state employees.
• Maintain club policies and procedures and perform other assigned duties, including work in other departments as needed.
• Support club compliance, collaborate respectfully, work as a team, maintain a friendly and positive attitude, and adapt to changing needs.
• Deliver service excellence, address and deescalate member concerns, and help ensure a safe and positive member experience.
• Help maintain GOLD club standards by stocking items, executing promotional plans, maintaining accurate signage, and keeping club spaces clean and organized.
• Access and read production or financial performance reporting for the department and understand how consistent execution affects business results.
