About The Position
The Customer Engineering team at Calor Gas is looking to recruit an engaging and proactive Gas Engineer providing engineering services and emergency response to Calor customers in Inverness and surrounding areas. Calor Gas is the UKs leading LPG supplier. We offer a range of off grid energy options for heating, cooking and other needs, to homes and businesses including sectors such as agriculture, transport and manufacturing. We are ideally looking for a smart meter / gas meter installer who would like to retrain to service and maintain calor gas tanks, pipework and equipment. Full training will be given.
Requirements
- ACS Gas Qualified.
- A Full Manual UK driving licence is essential.
- Experience in dealing with customers and providing excellent customer care.
- Have knowledge of relevant legislation and industry standards, including Health and Safety awareness
- Be able to follow procedures and instructions
- Eligible to live and work in UK and hold a full driving licence that is valid for you to drive in the UK.
- Medically fit to drive.
Nice To Haves
- Any relevant gas engineering experience would be considered useful, and an understanding of LPG and the installation and maintenance of bulk LPG tanks and cylinders would be a distinct advantage.
Responsibilities
- Installing and maintaining Calor’s bulk tanks and assets at customer sites.
- Travel (van and fuel provided) in order to meet customer service standards for our largely rural customer base
- The role requires participation in a standby rota to respond to gas emergencies out of normal working hours. Therefore, you will need to have a flexible, positive, and adaptable approach. Additional rates of pay apply.
