About The Position

The Gas Sales Specialist is responsible for supporting the company’s sales goals specifically related to Gas Sales Growth and Gas agreement signings. This role involves working directly with the sales department at all locations, focusing on Industrial, Specialty, N2, and Medical gas sales. The specialist is expected to follow the company’s sales process, provide excellent customer service, and develop and maintain high-quality relationships with customers. This position requires being on call three plus weeks per year.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalency
  • Valid Class D Driver’s License
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and ERP Software
  • Ability to work alone, influence people in opinions, attitudes, and judgements
  • Must be organized and have good time management, with the ability to perform effectively under tight deadlines
  • Demonstrate professionalism, superior people skills, strong oral and written communication skills
  • Must be a team player with the ability to communicate with all levels within an organization

Nice To Haves

  • Associates Degree or Certificate in business related field is a plus
  • 5+ years experience in sales for industrial, medical or specialty gases preferred

Responsibilities

  • Communicate and cultivate the Core Values of Oxygen Service Company internally and externally
  • Attend and participate in biweekly L-10 meetings
  • Pursue company-wide targeted Major Gas accounts from “The List” and develop new prospects
  • Provide technical gas expertise with customers and department personnel as needed
  • Follow and execute the Selling Process utilizing the Value Proposition Tool
  • Stay abreast of market conditions regarding gas applications, service offerings and new product offerings
  • Utilize company Pipeline document to track gas sales opportunities
  • Develop and execute business plan for resigning existing gas agreements
  • Complete bulk calculator analysis with Sales Managers to maintain profit margins
  • Work with Sales Representatives to manage new and existing bulk and cylinder account opportunities and agreements
  • Work with Cryogenic Manager to establish recommended equipment for customers
  • Responsible for maintaining bulk contract management system
  • Research N2 service industries and pursue targeted accounts
  • Work with gas operations to perform project quotes
  • Perform other job duties as assigned
