About The Position

As a Gas Power Co-op/Intern we will prepare you for an exciting career, tackling one of the world’s toughest challenges of providing cleaner, more accessible energy. Engineering interns in Gas Power experience technically challenging assignments in the power generation industry focusing on areas such as of Systems, Analysis, Design, Quality, Reliability, Digital, and Integration & Test. Perform design and analysis of product lines in areas such as steam turbine, gas turbines, gas engines and generators.

Requirements

  • Must have one to two semesters left prior to graduation and be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program in an engineering discipline.
  • Eligible majors: Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science Engineering, Mechanical Engineering.
  • Must have the ability to work in the United States for an unlimited amount of time without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement new design concepts and design improvements.
  • Work with the drafting team to create or update drawings.
  • Partner with the manufacturing team to solve problems that arise out of the complex manufacturing processes required to make these parts.

  • Relocation Assistance: Co-op/Interns will be reimbursed for reasonable, proper, and documented expenditures incurred while initially reporting to work and returning to school/home upon completion of the assignment. Employees with a permanent address greater than 50 miles away from the work location are eligible.
  • Housing Allowance: Co-op/Interns employees receive a weekly housing allowance to help off-set living expenses when the co-op/Intern’s permanent residence is at least 50 miles away from the work location.
