Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Up to one year of related experience or a strong interest in developing a career in natural gas operations.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to safely operate company vehicles.
  • Ability to learn leak survey principles, corrosion prevention methods, cathodic protection systems, and related field equipment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to read and interpret system maps and operational documentation.
  • Comfortable performing outdoor field work in a physically demanding environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in utility operations, natural gas distribution, field operations, leak survey, cathodic protection, or corrosion control.
  • Familiarity with natural gas operations procedures and industry safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Support leak survey and cathodic protection activities through field inspections, monitoring, testing, troubleshooting, and data collection.
  • Inspect, maintain, and assist with the repair of leak survey, corrosion detection, and cathodic protection equipment to support reliable operations.
  • Help maintain system maps, records, and documentation that support regulatory compliance and operational requirements.
  • Conduct field testing and assist with special projects while partnering with regional and area operations teams to coordinate work activities.
  • Identify and communicate field observations, operational concerns, and testing results, escalating issues as appropriate.
  • Follow company standards, DOT requirements, and safety procedures to support safe, compliant, and efficient operations.
  • Perform physically demanding outdoor work in varying weather conditions while contributing to the integrity and reliability of the natural gas system.
