About The Position

Xcel Energy is seeking an intern to support Gas Operations Technical Specialists (GOTS) and Brighton operations. The intern will work with the team to develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and refine compliance-driven maintenance plans and reports. They will also collaborate with foremen and senior team members to address open notifications. This role offers opportunities for learning, growth, and making a difference in the community, with the potential for extension based on performance and business needs.

Requirements

• Current student, Junior or higher (as of Fall 2027)
• Enrolled in an ABET accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in Business or Engineering
• Minimal travel across the state
• Able to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours a week)/ part time during the school year (up to 20 hours a week) and commuting to the designated work location in-person, per our hybrid work policy.
