Gas Engineer
About The Position
Performs engineering work in support of transmission or distribution operations, production, construction and/or maintenance functions within Gas Operations. Identifies, diagnoses and solves technical problems. Ensures the timely, thorough, and accurate completion of all engineering services work and projects. Prepares new or modified designs. Creates and maintains company standards for area of focus. Contributes to Gas Safety Excellence goals by improving safety, reliability and affordability through engineering related work and activities. This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
- Job-related experience, 3 years
Nice To Haves
- Experience in gas distribution industry, job-related
- Experience in gas transmission, or related
- EIT-Engineer in Training certification
- PE-Professional Engineer license
Responsibilities
- Performs engineering work of moderate scope and complexity selecting from different tools, methods, approaches and tactics to resolve problems and obtain solutions
- Develops knowledge in other areas of specialty/discipline or continues to focus on one area and increases depth of knowledge.
- Manager assigns work and projects providing guidance when requested and reviewing progress and outcomes.
