About The Position

Bentley Truck Services, Inc. is seeking a motivated, highly skilled technician to perform preventative maintenance and entry-level mechanical repairs on commercial trucks. This position supports fleet and customer vehicle safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance. The company has been family owned and operated since 1991 and has grown to 10 locations across 4 states on the east coast, offering commercial truck sales, commercial truck rentals, full-service leasing, contract maintenance, parts, and service.

Requirements

Minimum of 1–2 years of diesel technician experience in diagnosing and repairing light, medium and heavy-duty trucks.
Experience performing PM related services.
Must have a valid driver’s license: CDL Preferred.
Must be able to lift 50lbs/push-pull 75lbs.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment and random drug screening required by DOT.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
ASE certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and safety checks in compliance with company, DOT, and federal/state regulations.
Diagnose, service, and repair vehicle systems including brakes, clutches, HVAC, steering, suspension, and drivetrain components.
Inspect, maintain, and repair 5th wheel assemblies and assist with emissions-related maintenance as applicable.
Safely operate hand tools, pneumatic tools, and diagnostic equipment while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Accurately document repairs, inspections, and maintenance performed on work orders and reports, and complete additional assigned duties as needed.
