The Shift Supervisor will lead by example by delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining Co‑op image standards. In this role, you will take on a variety of responsibilities, including pumping fuel, operating tills, merchandising, housekeeping, following safety protocols, and supervising staff.

Requirements

  • A strong commitment to customer service.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to contribute positively within a team environment.
  • Confidence and accuracy in handling cash and numerical tasks.
  • Capacity to meet the physical and scheduling requirements of the role.
  • Able to perform duties that require extensive walking, standing for extended periods of time, bending, reaching, squatting, and lifting up to 50 lbs as part of daily work duties.
  • Able to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions as required.
  • Able to work a full‑time schedule that includes rotating weekends and some evening shifts.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to meet the physical and scheduling demands of the role.

Responsibilities

  • Consistently represent and uphold the Co‑op brand by demonstrating Gardenland Co‑op’s vision, mission, and values in all interactions.
  • Act as a Co‑op ambassador with a strong understanding of the Cooperative Retailing System and the cooperative business model, striving to build and maintain positive, healthy relationships with both co‑workers and customers.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service and creating positive interactions.
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with both customers and coworkers.
  • Work well within a team environment and contribute to a supportive, collaborative workplace.
  • Provide supervision and direction to team members when needed.
  • Perform duties of a Pump Attendant, including pumping gas, cleaning windshields, and other related tasks.
  • Handle cash and numerical tasks with accuracy and confidence.
