About The Position
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Gardening Instructor to lead after-school classes for students in grades K-5. The instructor will be responsible for teaching gardening concepts and hands-on activities. Classes are held on Wednesdays from 2:00 PM to 3:10 PM at a site in Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles, CA 91423, from August 26th to November 18th. Compensation is $65 per hour of class.
Requirements
- Experience in gardening and/or environmental education.
- Ability to work with children in grades K-5.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Must be available on Wednesdays from 2:00 PM - 3:10 PM.
- Must be available from August 26th to November 18th.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience teaching after-school programs.
- Knowledge of local flora and fauna.
- Bilingual abilities.
Responsibilities
