About The Position

The Landscaping Technician/Gardener manages all aspects of landscape operations at a luxury, grand-scale resort. The role is responsible for landscape improvements and enhancements, as well as day-to-day maintenance across more than 140 acres of resort property. The grounds include an oceanfront hotel, five golf course clubhouses, a 22-court tennis facility, a public park, four pool complexes, recreation fields and amenities, retail and common areas, maintenance facility buildings, and beach access boardwalks.

The position is onsite, generally scheduled Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with seasonal hours of 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. during spring, summer, and fall. Occasional Saturday work may be required. Related experience may be considered for higher pay compensation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 18 years of age due to the nature of the role.
• At least six months of experience working in a related field.
• Must have held a full-time position for six months or more within one position.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good to excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Valid driver’s license and own transportation to and from the resort.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds across short to medium distances.
• Ability to stand for the entirety of the shift while bending, stretching, and lifting.
• Ability to work in all-weather conditions, including light rain or extreme heat.
• Ability to work onsite due to the daily needs of the job.

Responsibilities

• Perform landscape maintenance across resort grounds, including policing grounds for trash, litter, and debris.
• Maintain planting beds and enhancement beds.
• Install enhancement beds.
• Prune and mow.
• Apply chemicals.
• Maintain irrigation systems.
• Learn landscape maintenance operations.
• Uphold the resort’s core values, policies, and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
