Requirements

Bring a positive attitude with strong customer service skills.
Experience operating a truck with plow blade and sander is required
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to work independently across multiple hotel sites
Strong understanding of maintaining high-visibility, guest-facing environments
Physically capable of working in various weather conditions
Maintain awareness of guests, staff, and vehicles when working on active hotel properties
Outdoor work in all weather conditions
Early mornings, flexible hours, and on-call availability during snow events
Travel required between 7 hotel properties within Jasper
Professional, reliable, and guest-service oriented
Strong attention to detail with a focus on presentation and safety
Ability to prioritize tasks across multiple sites
Flexible and willing to support maintenance operations when needed

Nice To Haves

Experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, and snow removal preferred
Basic maintenance/handyman skills are an asset

Responsibilities

Be involved in all aspects outdoor grounds maintenance: mowing, trimming, gardening, general beautification of grounds
Maintain all areas around hotels, lodge, cabins
Perform lawn care including mowing, edging, fertilizing, aerating, and seeding
Maintain gardens, flower beds, shrubs, and trees to a high hospitality standard
Plant seasonal flowers and ensure a welcoming, guest-focused appearance
Monitor plant health and apply pest and weed control as needed
Operate and maintain irrigation systems
Keep hotel entrances, walkways, and outdoor common areas clean and presentable
Ensure all exterior spaces contribute positively to the guest experience
Leaf removal and seasonal cleanup across all hotel properties
Prepare landscapes and irrigation systems for winter
Prune and protect plants for colder weather
Provide timely snow removal for hotel entrances, walkways, driveways, and parking areas
Operate a truck equipped with a plow blade and sander to clear snow and maintain safe access for guests and staff
Apply sand, salt, or ice melt to prevent slips and ensure safety
Monitor weather conditions and respond promptly to snowfall (including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays)
Assist in covering Maintenance Associate shifts as required (vacations, absences, peak periods)
Support basic maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, inspections, and general property upkeep
Respond to urgent exterior-related maintenance needs to ensure guest safety and comfort
Operate and maintain landscaping tools, snow removal equipment, and plow/sander truck
Conduct routine equipment checks and basic maintenance
Ability to safely operate a plow and sanding truck in winter driving conditions
Follow all workplace health and safety procedures
Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
Report any maintenance or safety concerns related to the properties
Other duties as assigned
