About The Position
RiverBend Golf Community, owned and operated by Sifton Properties Limited, is seeking a Garden Maintenance professional. This role involves performing daily upkeep and maintenance of residential homes and common gardens within a gated private golf community. The community features over 400 professionally maintained residential properties, a Clubhouse, and an 18-hole championship golf course. The company has a long-standing history of over 100 years, emphasizing team member contributions, development, health, and well-being.
Requirements
- Positive attitude and a willingness to learn about all aspects of garden maintenance
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Ability to perform physical tasks that may have repetitive movements
- Ability to follow all outlined health and safety requirements
Nice To Haves
- Basic knowledge and operation of garden maintenance, tools, equipment and techniques is an asset, but training will be provided
- Reliable transportation and a driver's license are assets
Responsibilities
- Perform daily upkeep and maintenance of residential homes and common gardens
- Pruning trees & shrubs, weeding, cultivating, edging & mulching
- Assist in landscape projects throughout the season, including tree & shrub planting, planting & maintaining annuals, and redesigning gardens
- Operate small equipment: battery-operated blower and trimmer, gas-powered garden bed edger
- Work in most weather conditions
