About The Position

The primary focus of this position is to assist customers with greenhouse purchases and maintain all greenhouse products. The Garden Center Clerk ensures the health of plants and prepares correct soil conditions for each plant. This individual is responsible for maintaining flowers, trees, plants and shrubs. Responsible for pruning plants as necessary, spraying flowers, trees and plants to prevent disease and pests, and arranges and presents the plants and flowers so they are ready for sale. This individual assists with customer purchases and makes recommendations when needed, while providing exceptional guest service by creating a friendly and fun atmosphere for guests to shop. Operates a cash register.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with greenhouse purchases
  • Maintain all greenhouse products
  • Ensure the health of plants
  • Prepare correct soil conditions for each plant
