About The Position

Sensei Lāna’i, A Four Seasons Resort, is looking for a Bartender who shares a passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do. Our teams’ have the opportunity to shape our guest experience by providing exceptional knowledge of the Resort and exemplifying the Golden Rule in each interaction. Work authorization required. Koele Garden Bar Spend time with friends or enjoy a quiet moment on your own in our relaxed bar. Offering an all-day menu and refreshments, sample Whitefish Tempura, Kushiyaki (skewers), tacos and a selection of light snacks. Located just off the lobby, the Bar offers captivating views overlooking lush gardens.

Requirements

• Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in United States
• The hospitality business functions seven (7) days a week, twenty-four (24) hours a day and scheduled days and times may vary based on need.
• Holidays and weekends availability is required.
• Required by the Hawaii State Department of Health to obtain a Tuberculous (TB) clearance card
• Hawaii Food Handler’s Card and ServSafe is required for this role
• Ability to sit and stand for extended periods, lift up to 30 lbs, and push/pull as needed during shifts
• Prior Bartender experience or related work

Nice To Haves

• Maui Liquor Card Preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, wines, and spirits, following established recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines
• Provide knowledgeable and engaging service by explaining menu offerings, flavor profiles, and pairing recommendations to enhance the guest experience
• Ensure compliance with food safety, allergen awareness, and responsible alcohol service standards, maintaining a safe dining environment
• Accurately enter and process orders using POS systems, ensuring all guest preferences and special requests are met
• Manage bar operations, including opening/closing procedures, inventory control, restocking, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace
• Handle cash and credit transactions accurately, including billing adjustments, while adhering to accounting and company procedures
• Anticipate guest needs and deliver attentive, personalized service to ensure satisfaction and uphold hospitality standards
