About The Position
Waste Connections of Iowa is looking for a safety-conscious Local Garbage Truck Driver to join their growing team in Des Moines, Iowa. They are looking to grow employees with them and will provide the truck and training to help grow your career as a CDL driver, and they also pay for your CDL. The pay range is $26 - $28 per hour, with a schedule of Monday - Friday, starting at 5:00 am until the route is complete. This position is located in Des Moines, Iowa.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Excellent communication skills
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company vehicle on designated routes
- Pick up and transport waste and recycling materials
- Maintain accurate records of pick-ups and deliveries
- Communicate effectively with customers and dispatch
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies
- Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Provide excellent customer service
- Report any issues or concerns to management
