About The Position
We are seeking a reliable and mechanically inclined Garage Door Technician to join a growing service team. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and completing garage door installations at residential properties. Technicians will work primarily outdoors and use basic tools and step ladders (up to 8 feet). This is a great opportunity for individuals with mechanical experience who enjoy hands-on work and want to grow their earnings through commission.
Requirements
- Mechanical aptitude or hands-on experience (construction, maintenance, automotive, etc.)
- Ability to use basic hand and power tools
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver equipment/materials as needed
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Nice To Haves
- Experience with garage doors, installation, or service work
- Previous field service or technician experience
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot garage door issues (springs, openers, tracks, etc.)
- Perform repairs and complete new garage door installations
- Conduct service calls at residential properties (no interior home work required)
- Safely use tools and step ladders (up to 8 feet) as needed
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding issues and recommended solutions
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Travel to job sites within a 25-mile service radius
