About The Position

The Jaydor Company is seeking a Garage Door Technician – Sales & Service Professional to join their growing team. This unique role combines mechanical expertise with in-home consultative sales. The technician will diagnose and fix problems, educate homeowners, recommend upgrades, and close sales on the spot. The position is hands-on, mechanically inclined, and motivated by face-to-face customer interactions, problem-solving, and working with tools to help customers choose the right solutions for their home.

Requirements

• Mechanical / Construction experience (carpentry, HVAC, electrical, general building, or similar trades).
• Strong communication and sales skills with a track record of upselling or closing deals.
• Great driving record, clean background, and ability to pass a drug screen.
• Comfort lifting 50 lbs overhead and working with tools.
• Reliability, professionalism, and a team-first mindset.
• All candidates are required to undergo pre-employment Background and Drug Screenings, as well as a Motor Vehicle Record Check.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and install residential garage doors and openers.
• Meet with homeowners in person, build trust, and present tailored solutions.
• Upsell products and services based on customer needs.
• Complete 4–5 pre-scheduled appointments daily (all leads provided).
• Ensure a professional, safe, and positive customer experience every time.
