About The Position

We are seeking Experienced Installers in high volume markets to join the team. As an experienced installer, you will bring your knowledge to the best in the garage door industry. You already know a lot about garage doors, our team will train you on everything else (including customer experience and our systems), so you can thrive in your very own market. This role involves picking up doors and parts from the warehouse, installing new garage doors for residential customers, removing existing doors and mechanical parts, replacing worn or broken parts, assembling mechanical parts, installing springs, sections, slats, and hardware, running wiring to connect equipment, lubricating and testing mechanical parts, educating customers on upgraded parts and services, documenting installation activities, and disposing of uninstalled garage doors and parts. The journey begins with a 4-week paid training at the A1 Training Academy in Phoenix, AZ, covering flights and accommodation. Upon completion, you will graduate to perform duties in your market.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year as an experienced garage door installer required
  • Able to bend, climb, kneel and stand for long periods
  • Physically able to lift 75lbs, and lift garage door panels above your head
  • Able to stand on a ladder
  • Expertise with power tools and hand tools
  • Valid driver’s license for at least 3 years with a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test (not including THC) and criminal background check
  • Knowledge of basic software such as navigation apps, Google etc as well as tablet and computer use.
  • Reading skills as well as basic math skills (measurements, payments) are required.
  • Professional appearance
  • Current eligibility to legally work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Pick up all doors and parts from warehouse
  • Install new garage doors for residential customers
  • Remove existing door and mechanical parts
  • Replace worn or broken door parts using tools

  • Run wiring to connect equipment
  • Lubricate and test mechanical parts for proper functioning
  • Educate customers on upgraded parts and services and ensure satisfaction
