Overhead Door Company of Akron is seeking an Installer / Service Helper to work alongside experienced technicians in the installation and repair of garage doors. This role is an entry point into a skilled trade, offering real career growth. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and the drive to build a career. No prior experience is required, as the company provides comprehensive on-the-job training and skill development, with a clear pathway to advance into a Technician role.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Assist with garage door installation and repairs
• Help remove old doors and prep openings for new installs
• Hold, position, and secure materials during installs
• Set up tools, organize materials, and keep jobs running smoothly
• Clean up job sites and make sure everything looks right when we leave
• Travel daily to residential and commercial job sites
