At Overhead Door Company of Akron, we’re hiring an Installer / Service Helper to work alongside experienced technicians installing and repairing garage doors. You don’t need years of experience — just a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and the drive to build a career. If you show up, work hard, and take pride in what you do, we’ll teach you the rest. You’ll be working side-by-side with our technicians on real job sites. You’re not just watching. You’re learning by doing.
Requirements
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Comfortable working with tools and your hands
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
- Valid driver’s license
- No experience required — we’ll train you on the job
Responsibilities
- Assist with garage door installation and repairs
- Help remove old doors and prep openings for new installs
- Hold, position, and secure materials during installs
- Set up tools, organize materials, and keep jobs running smoothly
- Clean up job sites and make sure everything looks right when we leave
- Travel daily to residential and commercial job sites
