About The Position

Assist members by parking their cars in designated areas, assisting with luggage, and providing information about the club facilities and services to maximize member satisfaction. The Garage Attendant is responsible for explaining and promoting club facilities, outlets, and services to members to increase member satisfaction. They also provide members with local directions in a courteous and accurate manner, promote teamwork and quality service through daily communications and coordination with other departments, and greet arriving members. The role involves assisting incoming and outgoing members by parking their cars in designated areas and returning vehicles at members’ request in a safe and timely manner. Additionally, the Garage Attendant responds quickly to member requests or complaints in a professional manner, ensures appropriate action is taken, and follows up to ensure member satisfaction. They conduct inspections of vehicles and record information on valet tickets and in logbooks, provide luggage assistance to members and/or bell staff as needed, and offer non-valet parking instructions/guidance/assistance to members upon arrival. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • One year of driving experience
  • Must speak fluent English
  • Alcohol awareness certification
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Frequently standing up and moving about the guest entrance, lobby areas, garage and or other parking/valet areas
  • Running to retrieve cars from valet area
  • Knowledge of locale
  • Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with members and guests.
  • Ability to drive cars with either manual and automatic transmissions
  • Reading and writing abilities are utilized often.
  • Basic math skills are used frequently.

Responsibilities

  • Greet arriving members, assist incoming and outgoing members – parking their cars in designated areas and return vehicle at members’ request in a safe and timely manner.
  • Respond quickly to member requests or complaints in a professional manner and ensure appropriate action is taken.
  • Follow up to ensure member satisfaction.
  • Conduct inspection of vehicle and record information on valet ticket and in Logbook.
  • Provide luggage assistance to members and/or bell staff as needed.
  • Provide non-valet parking instructions/guidance/assistance to members upon arrival.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
