About The Position

The Gantry Operator will be responsible for operating an overhead crane, loading and unloading trucks, and stacking/storing materials using safe techniques. This role involves grouping materials, handling heavy machinery, and collaborating with shipping staff. The operator will also measure and verify oversized loads, report any defects in materials, tools, and equipment to the supervisor, and ensure the work area is kept clean. Adherence to safety rules and quality procedures is essential.

Requirements

  • Experience operating an overhead crane
  • Spoken and written languages: French and English (an asset)
  • Manual dexterity
  • Good physical condition
  • Attention to detail, initiative and organizational skills
  • Teamwork
