About The Position

Installs equipment in designated locations in a safe and courteous manner and in accordance with established standards and procedures. This role serves as the subject matter expert for all technical and installation aspects of the route management system and kiosk product lines. The technician will install route management systems and kiosks at customer locations throughout Georgia, ensuring proper setup, configuration, and functionality. This includes conducting site surveys, performing diagnostic testing, configuring software, and ensuring optimal system performance. The role also involves performing rebuilds, maintenance, and repairs on equipment, maintaining professional work environments, and adhering to all safety procedures. Effective communication through reports, service logs, and email is essential, as is continuous learning of technical knowledge. Collaboration with management and team members to identify issues and develop solutions is expected, with the potential to eventually perform troubleshooting via a service hotline. Additional duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain gaming licenses as required.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs. on a regular basis for short distances.
  • Transport heavy equipment using proper moving devices.
  • Demonstrate safe and proper use of hand tools and power tools.
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of PC operation, and security risks relating to PC operation.
  • Demonstrate basic Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point).
  • Ability to read and understand Light & Wonder schematics and service manuals.
  • With limited or no supervision, be able to prepare conversion projects or installations.
  • Ability to maintain good customer relations, both internally and externally.
  • Basic knowledge of electricity, electronics, and mechanics of gaming type devices.
  • Basic knowledge of current Light & Wonder gaming devices to the assembly level.
  • Basic understanding of network communication, and network troubleshooting.
  • Ability to perform basic troubleshooting techniques in isolating and correcting problems down to an assembly level.
  • Ability to work with others to accomplish business objectives.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Potential travel requirements may include overnight stays.

  • Previous experience in Amusement service preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering on company goals and objectives.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for all technical and installation aspects of the route management system and kiosk product lines.
  • Install route management systems and kiosks at customer locations throughout Georgia, ensuring proper setup, configuration, and functionality.
  • Conduct site surveys—both onsite and remotely with operators—to verify cabinets are properly prepared and retrofitted prior to installation.
  • Perform diagnostic testing, configure software settings, and conduct functional testing to ensure optimal system and kiosk performance.
  • Adhere to established workmanship standards, field service procedures, and company policies.
  • Perform rebuilds, maintenance, and repairs on route management equipment within the service department.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and professional work environments at all job sites and company facilities.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including vehicle operation, equipment handling, ladder use, and electrical safety protocols.
  • Assist with loading and unloading gaming equipment between vehicles and staging areas as needed.
  • Ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained in safe and working condition.
  • Communicate effectively through reports, service logs, and email correspondence.
  • Continuously expand technical knowledge and stay current with product updates and system enhancements.
  • Collaborate with management and team members to identify recurring issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Eventually perform troubleshooting and assistance thought the Betson route management system service Hotline.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
