This position is responsible for preventing and investigating illegal activities within a gaming establishment. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or (GED).
  • One (1) year of investigative experience (or equivalent) combination of relevant experience and training.
  • Communicate effectively both orally and written.
  • Must pass periodic random drug screens.
  • Must be able to pass background suitability investigation.
  • Must obtain a Tribal Gaming License.
  • Must obtain all other applicable certifications and licenses.
  • Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States within 72 hours of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year experience in the gaming industry preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service to guests and all other employees by exceeding our mission statement.

  • Oversee and ensure the physical safeguarding of the casino assets.
  • Communicate with management on an as needed basis.
  • Utilize investigative principles, techniques, and best practices to conduct thorough, objective, and timely investigations while meeting established deadlines.
  • Analyze and evaluate information from multiple sources to identify relevant facts, assess credibility, draw logical conclusions, and prepare accurate, detailed, and well-documented investigative reports.
  • Review and analyze financial, criminal, Title 31, and personal records.
  • Attend meetings when requested and be prepared to present reports.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Tribal – State Compact NIGC (National Indian Gaming Commission), Gaming Commission, Regulations, Policies and Procedures.
  • Conduct discrepancy interviews when appropriate and monitor the investigation in its entirety.
  • Prepare investigative and suitability reports as required by the National Indian Gaming Regulatory Act, the California Tribal-State Compact, and management.
  • Conduct other types of personnel investigations involving compliance or conduct that could affect their license or employment status.
  • Ensure compliance with all Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) as well as all Tribal Internal Control Standards (TICS).
  • Investigate incidents involving gaming operations, regulatory violations, patron complaints, employee misconduct, and licensing concerns.
  • Present a positive image of the Tribal organization to its guests and vendors and to assist them as required.
  • Must follow all safety policies and procedures and attend all scheduled safety meetings and training as a condition of employment.
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
