About The Position

Great Blue Heron Casino & Hotel is seeking a Part-time Gaming Inspector. The ideal candidate is an energetic professional with proven knowledge, skills, and abilities to execute duties in support of the company’s vision, mission, and values. This role requires excellent internal and external customer service skills to be displayed at all times. The Gaming Inspector will oversee and ensure efficient table game procedures at assigned tables, ensuring professional game activity and respectful customer service by attending to patrons with optimal care and professionalism. They must abide by binding instructions for the safety and handling of money, keys, and codes, and convey and implement methodical error prevention, being involved in its continuous improvements. The role involves setting examples through own actions and making certain that all game activities and transactions are carried out professionally and efficiently according to the ICM, GBH policies and procedures, and under strict compliance with legal requirements. The inspector is responsible for transactions on the tables, their correct entry and verification, and jointly responsible for the correct accounting of money transactions within the Table Games Department and the issue of all legally required information regarding table results. They will report all incidents to the Pit Manager and/or the Gaming Shift Manager in accordance with regulated operating procedures, and report any suspicious guest behavior that may hinder licensing requirements or incur liabilities to the Pit Manager or Gaming Shift Manager. Table Game Inspectors are responsible for entering guest information from the Players card into the system and for asking guests for their Players card and explaining its value. Other duties may be required by the Pit Manager or Operations Manager.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Dealer 4 or above
  • Must first successfully pass Inspectors training as defined by the Casino Prior to being considered for any Table Game Inspector positions
  • Experience in money handling
  • Thorough knowledge of the applicable sections of the: Gaming Control Act, Approved Rules of games, Games Procedures
  • Must be accurate and detail oriented
  • Works independently, diligently and dutifully
  • Must have excellent communication, negotiating and conversational skills
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Able to deal with stressful situations in a high volume establishment
  • Dedicated to superior customer service

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and ensure efficient table game procedures at assigned tables
  • Ensure professional game activity and respectful Customer Service by attending to patrons with optimal care and professionalism
  • Abide by the binding instructions for the safety and the handling of money, keys and codes
  • Convey and implement methodical error prevention and is involved in its continuous improvements
  • Set examples through own actions
  • Make certain that all game activities and transactions are carried out professionally and efficiently according to the ICM, GBH policies and procedures and under strict compliance with legal requirements

  • Jointly responsible for the correct accounting of money transactions within the Table Games Department and the issue of all legally required information in regards to table results
  • Report all incidents to the Pit Manager and/ or the Gaming Shift Manager respectively in accordance with regulated operating procedures
  • Report any suspicious guest-behavior that may hinder the implementation of licensing requirements and/or incur liabilities (trespass, money laundering, social obligations) to the Pit Manager or the Gaming Shift Manager
  • Enter the Guests information from the Players card into the system
  • Ask Guests for their Players card and to explain the value of the card
  • Perform other duties as required by the Pit Manager or Operations Manager
