About The Position

The Gaming Commission Compliance Manager directs, administers, and coordinates the activities of the Gaming Commission in support of policies, goals, and objectives established by the Executive Director, Director and the Commission by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate managers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, management, public administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of degree.
  • Four (4) years of progressively responsible experience.
  • Two (2) years of supervisory experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to build strong working relationships
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and coach others
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Analytical mindset & problem-solving skills
  • Intermediate math & computer skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.
  • Possess or ability to obtain and maintain a Cherokee Nation Gaming License throughout employment.
  • The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in government accounting, enterprise operations, or Indian Tribal governmental operations highly preferred.
