About The Position

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Senior Partner Solutions Architect (PSA) with specialized knowledge in the Media, Entertainment, Games & Sports (MEGS) sector, particularly within the Video Games industry. This role involves shaping the Industry solution strategy for the AWS Partner Network, which includes major software and systems integration companies, as well as innovative software and services firms. The Games PSA will collaborate with consulting and technology partners to develop repeatable industry solutions for business use cases, publish them through Go-to-Market channels, and promote them to Games Customers globally. The objective is to accelerate the adoption of AWS cloud computing services by developing and publishing scalable Industry Partner solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in software architecture, game development pipelines (including game engines like Unreal Engine and Unity), real-time multiplayer systems, game backend infrastructure, live operations (LiveOps), software deployment, and cloud computing. Customer-facing and technical sales skills are also essential. The candidate should demonstrate strategic thinking regarding business, product, and technical challenges, and be a natural influencer who partners and customers trust and are eager to engage with. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to act as a subject matter expert for the Games industry, serving as a trusted advisor to sales teams and customers. Key responsibilities include driving customer outcomes through partners, accelerating cloud adoption in areas such as core systems modernization, game server migration, live game operations, player data & analytics pipelines, AI/ML for games (e.g., generative AI content creation, player behavior modeling, matchmaking, anti-cheat), and studio build/CI-CD automation with ISVs. AWS partners serve a diverse range of customers in the Games industry, from AAA game studios and indie developers to game publishers and gaming platform/services providers. These customers are leveraging AWS cloud technologies like Agentic and Generative AI, data analytics, compute, and storage to drive innovation. The Senior PSA will operate within a global, matrixed organization, navigating various partner capabilities to apply these technologies to solve business use cases with repeatable solutions built on AWS.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
  • 6+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 4+ years experience working directly with Games industry customers on cloud and AI adoption, with demonstrated understanding of commercial game engines (e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity) and game development workflows

  • Experience working with and presenting to C-level executives, IT, and lines of businesses across organizations or equivalent
  • Experience working with consulting partners through solution alignment, account management, product management, program management and business development engagements

Responsibilities

  • Work with partners and customers to develop top of funnel sales opportunities with Games industry customers.
  • Partner with Account SAs, Sales, Business Development and service development teams to accelerate customer adoption of partner solutions through enablement, technical architecture, customer workshops.
  • Evangelize partners’ value proposition internally throughout AWS and externally with customers.
  • Establish AWS as the partner’s preferred cloud platform for financial services solutions and services.
  • Work alongside the AWS Partner Development Specialists to develop extensive executive and senior management relationships within partner organizations and become their trusted advisor.
  • Provide the architectural guidance and recommendations necessary to promote successful engagements with partners globally.
  • Assist solution providers with the definition of technical strategies that will enable them to sell more of their offering on the AWS platform.
  • Capture and share best-practice knowledge with our broader Solution Architect community.
  • Share customer feedback to internal product management and engineering teams to help drive the future of AWS.
