About The Position

The Games Manager (Fall Season) will assist the athletic director/principal in setting up and supervising athletic contests during the fall season. This role involves managing equipment, ticketing, officials, opponents, security, and support personnel to ensure smooth and safe game operations.

Requirements

High School Diploma Required.

Nice To Haves

Teacher Certification Preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist the athletic director/principal in setting up and supervising athletic contests during the fall season.
Set up and take down equipment for the field/court, including the press box, scorer’s table, lights, concession stand, restrooms, bleachers, and storage.
Set up ticket booths, handle tickets, cash box, and appropriate forms.
Welcome and escort game officials to their dressing room before and after the contest and at halftime, and pay officials by check upon arrival.
Welcome opponents to the school, escort them to their locker room, provide appropriate instructions, and attend to them before and after the contest.
Meet security and position security for crowd control, maintaining contact with security during and after the contest.
Monitor the crowd during the contest and take appropriate actions to maintain crowd control.
Monitor and position support personnel including announcer, clock operator, scorekeeper, chain crew, medical/ambulance personnel, and parking attendants.
Arrive at least one and one-half hours before the contest is to begin (unless otherwise instructed).
Be the last to leave after opponents and officials have departed, security has secured the area, fields/courts are secured, and janitors have begun clean up.
Assume other duties assigned by the principal and/or athletic director.
