Gameplay Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Gameplay Engineer to join our award-winning game development team at Turtle Rock. In this role, you will collaborate with designers, artists, and programmers to design, prototype, and implement new gameplay features for our upcoming AAA title. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in game design, proficiency in C/C++ and Microsoft Visual Studio, and the ability to work independently under deadlines. If you have a passion for creating an awesome player experience and have shipped at least one AAA title as a gameplay programmer, we would love to have you on board.

• Work with an interdisciplinary agile team of designers, artists, and programmers to design, prototype, and implement new gameplay features.
• Write core systems that will form the basis of the gameplay experience.
• Figure out how to use existing technology to achieve new and unique game features.
• Profile and optimize code to meet memory and CPU budgets.

• A strong interest in game design and creating an awesome player experience
• 3-5 years of professional game programming experience
• Ability to work independently and efficiently under deadlines
• Shipped at least one AAA title as a gameplay programmer
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Microsoft Visual Studio
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Solid math skills
• Animation and network experience is a big plus
• Experience with UE4 or UE5
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Com
