About The Position

Lightspeed Tech Center is an R&D department under Lightspeed Studios, which develops PUBG Mobile and other high-quality games. Our Tech Center leads the research, exploration, and discovery of innovative technologies and provides technical services for all games during all phases of their lifecycle, including engine, audio, QA, AI, next-generation games, and technical cooperation. This role involves working with scientists to research and develop advanced techniques in areas such as 3D geometric learning, re-meshing and UV optimization, physically-based animation and simulation, machine learning for computer graphics, motion planning in virtual cities, character locomotion and control, realistic image synthesis, and real-time rendering techniques. The intern will also research and develop tools and pipelines to facilitate the use of these technologies in the game development environment.

Requirements

• Strong coding skills in C++, Python, TensorFlow/Torch.
• Solid knowledge in calculus, linear algebra, and basic numerical analysis.
• A strong sense of responsibility and good communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Graduate student in a master or Ph.D. level program.
• Publications on computer graphics/vision, machine learning, and robotics.
• Familiarity with game engines, graphics APIs, and GPU programming.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop advanced techniques in 3D geometric learning, re-meshing and UV optimization, physically-based animation and simulation.
• Explore machine learning for computer graphics and motion planning in virtual cities.
• Work on character locomotion and control, realistic image synthesis, and real-time rendering techniques.
• Research and develop tools and pipelines to integrate these technologies into the game development environment.
