About The Position

The Game Management position supports USU Eastern Athletics during home game day events. Duties may include event set-up and clean-up, assisting the Game Management Supervisor, and performing various tasks to support the successful operation of athletic events. The successful applicant will be assigned to work a variety of game day responsibilities based on event needs.

Requirements

• Requires reading, communication, and problem solving skills equivalent to a high school education or GED
• Must be a team player who can work with the students, members of the community, and athletes
• Must be able to work some weekends
• Dependable, responsible contributor committed to excellence and success
• Self-starter who takes initiative with minimal supervision
• Organizational skills
• Effective written, interpersonal, and oral communication skills
• Ability to problem solve and work cooperatively with fellow staff members
• Basic computer skills
• Must be dependable

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience with game management duties is preferred

Responsibilities

• Keep score
• Film games for the broadcast
• Check bags upon entry
• Ball shag at field goals for soccer
• Retrieve and give balls at volleyball games
• Set-up and clean-up prior-to and after home games
• Odd jobs given by the AD or Game Management Supervisor
• Provide excellent customer service in a professional and timely manner
