The Pennsylvania Game Commission is seeking a hardworking, outdoor-driven Game Lands Maintenance Worker 1 to help build, maintain, and enhance Pennsylvania's game lands and wildlife habitats. As a Game Lands Maintenance Worker 1, you will perform the following duties: Land Maintenance: Prepare and upkeep game land grounds and facilities using tools, equipment, and manual labor Trail Construction: Build and repair trails, gates, signage, and infrastructure to support public recreational access Habitat Support: Assist in creating openings, pruning trees, planting seedlings, and building wildlife structures Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain tools such as chainsaws, snow blowers, and off-road vehicles Safety Practices: Follow safety standards, attend trainings, perform prescribed burns, and report unsafe conditions Support Programs: Help with surveys, boundary line marking, nursery seed collection, and highway-killed animal recovery.
