About The Position

Voodoo is a tech company founded in 2013 that creates mobile games and apps. They aim to entertain the world and have gathered 800 employees, achieved 7 billion downloads, and have over 200 million active users, making them the #3 mobile publisher worldwide. This position is part of a newly established internal studio focused on scaling a promising prototype into a successful market-ready title. The role involves working on a new Midcore Game with compelling core mechanics and engaging gameplay.

Requirements

Advanced Unity knowledge (3+ years) including scripting in C#, UI systems, animation, particle systems, etc.
Critical thinker and problem solver with a keen eye for identifying problems in workflows and processes and driving them to resolution.
Previous experience and exposure to the game production process (as part of a game dev studio or otherwise).
Skilled in identifying performance bottlenecks and implementing optimizations, with a strong focus on memory management, frame rate stability, and reducing load times.
Excellent communication skills and a strong teamwork mindset.
Good sense of gameplay experience and special attention to detail.
Speak and write English.

Nice To Haves

Experience with analytics-driven development and A/B testing in live games would be a plus.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Product Managers, Game Artists, Game Developers, Tech Engineers, Monetization Managers, and Data Analysts.
Work closely with small teams of Unity Game Developers and Artists.
Implement game logic and systems in C# using Unity.
Adapt and work within an existing codebase, enhancing its functionality, stability, and performance.
Provide guidance and share expertise.
Ensure timely delivery of high-quality results.
