About The Position

This role supports the Timberwolves Basketball Communications team, focusing on game day operations. This position is a seasonal part-time role, running through the season and potential playoffs, with a focus on game day responsibilities and media support.

Requirements

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Polish and professionalism, demonstrated in high profile and high-pressure situations.
• Able to work on a team and independently.
• Able to form effective partnerships internally & externally.
• Able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Attendance at Timberwolves home games is required.
• Some weekend work is included.

Nice To Haves

• Communications background, including at least one (1) year of Sports Public Relations, Journalism and/or sports information experience is preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare materials for the media.
• Set up and take down the Timberwolves media section and media room.
• Transcribe post-game quotes and distribute them to media.
• Provide media and teams with statistical and press content.
• Participate in Timberwolves game-day in-arena media setup and take down.
• Assist with game-night media hospitality.
• Assist with any post-game events that may occur during Timberwolves home games.
• Facilitate daily clips distribution.
• Other projects as needed.

Benefits

• Pay Rate: $17.00 an hour
