About The Position
The game day assistant student employee is responsible for assisting event operations staff in all game day duties for Lindenwood Athletics home events and outside rentals. This role supports the mission of the University and serves as an ambassador of the Q2 culture of service excellence, modeling, supporting, and holding others accountable to the University’s values.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled at Lindenwood University
- Good academic and financial standing with the university
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and adhere to strict deadlines
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Responsibilities
- Prepares field and arena for competitions by setting up bleachers, camera equipment, benches, etc.
- Prepares and operates concession stands during events
- Assists in promotional activities during events
- Operates scoreboard and video boards
- Greets spectators and accepts tickets
- Works closely with coaches on game day activities
- Sells tickets for home events
- Collaborates with fellow workers to provide an optimal game day experience
- Assists in the execution of on-field promotions
- Provides clean up after events, including trash removal and breaking down bleachers, benches and equipment
