About The Position

This is a supervisory position which reports directly to Galley Site Manager and is responsible for the supervision of the Galley crew in all Galley required activities at the Trident, MLA, WSSF, and WSSF 2 Facilities. The Galley Supervisor is expected to practice servant leadership by putting our employees first. Requirements

Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in an dinning or food service environment is required.
Must have strong interpersonal skills in working with people with a variety of diverse backgrounds and disabilities.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Person In Charge (PIC) certificate for Bangor Galleys within 90 days of hire.
Must hold a valid Food Handler’s Card.
Must be a team player and ready to help the team wherever it is needed.
Must have at least one year’s experience working with computers.
Must be able to obtain and maintain Red Badge Secret Clearance and have clearance to access WSSF.
A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
Access to a federal military installation requires a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or an acceptable alternative, such as a U.S. passport or military ID, in accordance with the REAL ID Act.
Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access.
A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.
No employee or representative of the Contractor will be admitted to the site of work unless satisfactory proof of U.S. citizenship is furnished.

Responsibilities

Assist Manager in overseeing galley activities on Bangor at the Trident Inn, MLA, WSSF, and WSSF 2 Galleys.
Assist Manager in ensuring all areas are clean, sanitary, safe, and orderly.
Assist Manager in ensuring quality service to meet the contract requirements.
Assist Manager in ensuring that Medical and Sanitation inspections are corrected on time and followed up on.
Work closely with the Chiefs and Culinary Specialists to ensure that contract requirements are being met.
Schedule all Galley locations to ensure adequate service to meet the needs of the contract and adjust schedules when necessary.
Resolve personnel issues/problems with assistance from Manager and Human Resources Representative.
Responsible for various schedules, training, attendance, various employee documentations, correct time keeping, and accident reports.
Participate with rehabilitation staff in development and monitoring of individual evaluations, assessments and or training programs.
Ensure safety walkthrough and on-the-job training are completed and properly documented.
Conduct supply and equipment inventory of storage areas.
Order and maintain supplies and equipment.
Make site visits with customers periodically and upon request.
Conduct inspections on completed work and operational equipment.
Maintain MSDS information for chemicals used at all four Galleys.
Maintain SDS requirements for all four Galleys.
Counsel and train employees.
Assist in timekeeping for the employees.
Responsible for the issue, turn in & securing of all government and Tessera keys/vehicles/phones.
