About The Position

Join Child Development Schools as a Georgia Pre-K Assistant Teacher and be part of a movement shaping the future of early childhood education. Requirements

  • Can pass a background check.
  • Hold a High School Diploma.
  • Hold at least one of the following qualifications: a Technical Certificate of Credit in early childhood education, a Specialist degree or PhD, a Paraprofessional Certificate issued by the GaPSC, a Master's degree in any field, a Georgia teacher certificate, a CDA credential, and a Bachelor's or Associate degree in any field.
  • Genuine empathy and understanding of children's needs and development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet community needs and respond to changing circumstances.
  • Capable of meeting the physical demands of working with children.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the GA Pre-K Lead Teacher in overseeing classroom activities.
  • Adhere to standards set by the GA Dept of Early Care and Learning.
  • Align with the objectives of the current GA Pre-K Curriculum.
  • Contribute to creating a nurturing and positive atmosphere for children and families.
  • Help forge strong, supportive relationships with children and families.
  • Assist with planning and implementing learning experiences that promote physical health, social-emotional growth, cognitive abilities, and creative expression.
  • Observe and assess children's development.
  • Aid in customizing curriculum to meet the unique needs of each child.
  • Guide young learners to ensure a future filled with endless possibilities.
