About The Position

The Future Talent Program features Cooperative (Co-op) education that lasts up to 6 months and will include one or more projects. These opportunities in our Animal Health Division can provide you with great development and a chance to see if we are the right company for your long-term goals. Our Animal Health Division is investing $895 million in expanding our manufacturing and research & development facilities in De Soto, Kansas. You will join a world-class team at our Center of Excellence in the Animal Health Corridor, contributing directly to the production of veterinary products that improve animal health and welfare globally. As an Engineering Co-Op at the De Soto site, you will collaborate with cross-functional experts—ranging from internal engineering and operations to premier external engineering and construction partners. Your work will include design verification, system development, and start-up activities to ensure safe, compliant, and reliable operations.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in Engineering (Mechanical or Chemical), or a closely related technical discipline
  • Completed at least your Sophomore year of college by the start of the co-op (June 2027)
  • Must be able to work full-time for the entire duration of the co-op term from June 2027 through November 2027
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with ability to collaborate effectively in diverse, multi-disciplinary team environments
  • Analytical and troubleshooting abilities with a proactive approach to handling complex project details
  • Comfort working in a dynamic environment that spans both professional office spaces and active facility commissioning environments

Nice To Haves

  • Previously completed one prior professional internship or co-op program
  • Be in good academic standing with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

Responsibilities

  • Assisting project engineers with design reviews and construction progress tracking
  • Working alongside our operations, maintenance and engineering groups to help create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), define Preventative Maintenance strategies, and compile technical asset documentation
  • Participating in the preparation, review and execution of critical facility commissioning and qualification activities
