About The Position

For more than 75 years, Kane’s Furniture has been a trusted name in the furniture industry, proudly serving customers throughout Florida. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Furniture Repair Technician to join our talented team of craftspeople at our corporate distribution center in Pinellas Park. As a Furniture Repair Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing furniture damages or manufacturer defects in wood, upholstery, and leather products. You’ll also play a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality repairs.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience working with wood furniture, leather, and upholstery
  • Proficient in a variety of repair techniques including wood touch-ups, structural repairs, and leather restoration
  • Must pass a 7-year criminal background check and drug test
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
  • Strong commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction
  • Ability to lift, bend, kneel, and move furniture as needed (up to 50 lbs)

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair furniture including wood, leather, and upholstered pieces
  • Perform wood repairs including burn-ins, wood graining, and refinishing
  • Repair leather scuffs, holes, tears, and other surface damage
  • Conduct upholstery repairs including mechanism and structural replacements
  • Organize and manage daily workload efficiently to meet repair schedules
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by management
