About The Position

The Service Technician is responsible for maintaining showroom readiness by repairing, restoring, and performing touch-ups on damaged or worn products and fixtures. This role supports both front-of-house and back-of-house areas, including exterior structures, interior walls, product returns, and floor displays. The Service Technician ensures all work is completed in accordance with established SOPs and Living Spaces merchandising standards, contributing to a safe, well-maintained environment and a consistent, high-quality guest experience.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in furniture repair, woodworking, paint touch up, and cleaning and refinishing.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office programs, including Word and Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • High volume experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, evaluate, and repair returned, exchanged, and showroom merchandise to support resale and display readiness.
  • Perform general maintenance and repair work throughout the showroom, warehouse, and exterior areas, including walls, doors, fixtures, flooring, and display structures, in accordance with established SOPs.
  • Support showroom setup and presentation by assisting with the assembly, disassembly, placement, and maintenance of furniture, fixtures, and floor displays under direction from store leadership.
  • Assist with store resets, floor moves, and merchandising changes by staging, moving, and installing display components and furniture safely and efficiently.
  • Transport, stage, and organize merchandise, fixtures, and materials to support ongoing showroom and operational needs.
  • Maintain appropriate levels of tools, parts, and repair supplies; ensure materials are properly stored, organized, and available for daily work.
  • Follow inventory control and documentation processes to ensure accurate tracking and disposition of repaired merchandise, fixtures, and materials.
  • Partner with Operations and Visual teams to prioritize work that supports showroom readiness, safety, and business needs.
  • Execute all duties in alignment with Living Spaces’ safety standards, merchandising guidelines, and operational procedures to support a consistent, high‑quality guest experience.
