Requirements
- Previous furniture repair or refinishing experience preferred.
- Must be able to match colors and be familiar with using Mohawk or similar touch up products.
- Requires heavy lifting.
- Furniture repair or refinishing experience preferred.
- Ability to touch up, repair, and upholster furniture.
- Excellent communication skills required.
Responsibilities
- Repair and touch up merchandise that was damaged in the warehouse, by a customer or vendor, using methods and materials such as Burn-in Soft Fill, Bondo, dry powders for color, aerosol lacquers, shading lacquers, buffing fine scratches from dressers, nightstands, and tabletops, and gluing and clamping components.
- Perform repairs in a fast-paced environment.
- Primarily work in shop repairing more detailed damages, however, may be expected to work on the prep line as needed to complete quick repairs for delivery to the customer.
- Enter accurate records in MDC of all repairs, specifying if the damage was created in-house or by the vendor.
- Maintain and perform at the necessary productivity level daily.
- Maintain a clean and clear work environment, free from trip hazards.
