Jacksonville’s best furniture refinishing and furniture repair company is hiring and we have an immediate opening for a top-notch furniture refinisher in our antique furniture restoration division! Furniture refinishing compensation is very competitive with a base hourly rate plus generous commission for refinishers – experienced furniture refinishing craftsmen can earn $40+ per hour including commission! Jax Furniture Refinishing & Upholstering is an energetic and fast-growing company that provides high end custom furniture refinishing services, custom furniture upholstery, antique furniture restoration, and furniture repair. Requirements

• Positive attitude
• Trainable
• Take pride in a job well done
• Able to lift and/or carry more than 50 lbs.
• Able to operate equipment safely and according to manufacturer’s instructions
• Able to stand for extended periods of time, push, pull, bend, reach, and make repetitive motions
• Driver’s license and record of safe driving
• Clean background (background checks and drug testing are performed for all employees)

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working as a craftsman furniture refinisher
• Experience refinishing furniture
• Experience repairing wood furniture
• Experience working with antique furniture
• Experience in custom cabinet refinishing
• Experience stripping, sanding, staining, and refinishing furniture
• Attention to detail
• Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Refinish furniture
• Repair furniture
• Restore antique furniture
• Operate equipment safely and according to manufacturer’s instructions
• Responsibly handle cleaning solutions, cleaning agents, chemicals, and gases
• Wear safety goggles, gloves, and/or dust masks when necessitated by prep or cleaning tasks
