About The Position

Broad River Retail is seeking a Furniture Handler Specialist for its IQ OPS Team. The team partners with Distribution Center and Retail Operations and supports nearby retail locations through inventory transfers and receiving, furniture loading and unloading, preparation and assembly, showroom floor moves, and repackaging sold products. The position involves warehouse and retail-site work, material handling, customer-facing support, and maintaining safety and equipment standards.

Requirements

Manual dexterity and ability to maneuver furniture.
Ability to listen to and follow directions and instructions.
Ability to repeatedly lift 75 pounds throughout the shift; team-lift objects over 75 pounds.
Physical labor capability and a customer-service mindset.
Oral communication and listening skills.
Ability to work well with a team.
Adaptability to changes in the work environment.

Responsibilities

Load and unload trucks at warehouse and retail locations manually or with hand trucks without damaging products.
Identify and communicate physical damage to the IQ Ops Professional.
Use a barcode scanner to receive inventory in the system.
Assemble items for showroom display.
Disassemble and/or wrap sold products for customer pickup or transfer.
Maintain buildings, grounds, tools, and equipment.
Accept cross-training opportunities and support internal and external customers.
Follow material-handling and safety guidelines to maintain personal and facility safety.
Operate recycling machinery.
Sort and process dunnage.
Follow the company attendance policy.
