About The Position

HomeGoods is seeking a Full-Time Furniture Coordinator to join their team. This role is responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards while ensuring Associates are processing efficiently and effectively, and working as a team. The Furniture Coordinator ensures an excellent customer experience by engaging and interacting with all customers, and maintaining a clean and organized store. This role models exceptional customer service, creates a positive internal and external customer experience, and promotes a culture of honesty and integrity while maintaining confidentiality. The Furniture Coordinator orchestrates truck delivery, prioritizing the processing of merchandise onto the sales floor, and trains and mentors Associates on established merchandising and processing principles. They ensure merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded, and communicates with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure efficient flow of goods to sales floor. The Furniture Coordinator ensures Associates complete tasks and activities according to store plan, monitors productivity of the team and coaches as necessary, and organizes and rotates back stock for easy replenishment. They maintain and uphold merchandising philosophy and signage standards, as well as all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the backroom area. The Furniture Coordinator ensures compliance with recycling and, where applicable, hazardous waste programs, communicates accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities, and provides progress updates. They provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback, partner with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness, and ensure adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures. Additionally, they promote credit and loyalty programs, support and participate in store shrink reduction goals and programs, and promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

1 year retail experience
6 months of leadership experience

Responsibilities
