About The Position

The Furniture Assembly Technician opportunity is for part-time, on-going assembly work. This role involves both in-store (Nationwide Office supply chain) and in-home furniture assembly. As an Independent Contractor with SFS, Inc., the technician will primarily assemble Ready-To-Assemble (RTA) Furniture. There are also opportunities for individuals with experience in TV Wall Mounts, and assembling Gas Grills, Sporting Goods, Bicycles, and Display Racks. The role offers flexibility, allowing the contractor to control their work hours and schedule, essentially being their own boss.

Requirements

Must possess merchandising and/or commercial furniture assembly experience
Ability to assemble products according to client’s written instructions
Able to understand plan-o-grams and perform customized category resets independently
Able to carry and lift up to 50 lbs.
Able to bend and stand for extended periods
Internet access & active email address
Reliable transportation, some travel involved
Have own tools

Responsibilities

Assembling RTA Furniture
Assembling TV Wall Mounts, Gas Grills, Sporting Goods, Bicycles, and Display Racks (if experienced)
Assemble products according to client’s written instructions
Understand plan-o-grams and perform customized category resets independently
Report client work completions on the same day as service
